How to use CueTime
🎵 What is CueTime?
CueTime lets you plan exactly what song will be playing at any moment during an event. Set a start time, reorder your tracks, and see a live clock next to every song. Perfect for DJs, weddings, parties, fitness classes — anywhere timing matters.
📋 Playlists Panel Left
Your Spotify playlists appear here. Use the search box to filter by name, or use the sort dropdown to order them alphabetically or by recently added. Click any playlist to load its tracks into the center view.
🎧 Tracks Panel Center
All tracks in your playlist are shown here with live clock times on the right edge of each row.
Reordering: Grab the ⠿ dotted handle on the left of any track and drag it up or down to a new position. All clock times update instantly.
Find a track: Use the search box in the toolbar — type a track name or artist. Matches highlight in green and you can jump between them with the ▲ ▼ arrows or the Enter key. The full list stays visible, nothing is hidden.
Hour dividers: Coloured bands separate the playlist into hours so you can instantly see which songs fall in Hour 1, Hour 2, and so on.
⏱ Timeline Panel Right
Start time: Set what time the playlist begins — all clock times across the app update to match.
12h / 24h toggle: Switch the time format between 12-hour (8:00pm) and 24-hour (20:00) using the small toggle next to the Timeline label.
Hour blocks: Tracks are grouped by hour. Each block shows the clock time it starts and how long it runs. Tap any hour block header to collapse or expand it.
⏱ Move to Time
Move any track to a specific clock time instantly.
How to use it: Click the green clock time on the right of any track row. A small popover appears — enter the time you want that track to play (e.g. 10:00pm) and click Move here. The track automatically jumps to the closest possible position in the playlist to hit that time.
Closest position: The popover shows how close the move will get you — if the exact time falls mid-song it will tell you the offset in minutes so you know what to expect before confirming.
💾 Saving Back to Spotify
Update Playlist: Saves the current track order back to the same Spotify playlist. Your playlist is updated in place — same name, same songs, new order.
Save as New: Creates a brand new private Spotify playlist with the current order. Your original playlist is not changed. Give it a name and it appears in your Spotify library instantly.
